DaveJ is a one-man-band experience with a sound that reflects modern Australia.
Slide didgeridoo, percussion and his voice are mixed with flavours of Asia, Africa & Latin America to create a cross-cultural mash up that captivates audiences.
It’s music that connects on a primal level – driving beats and the subsonic frequencies of the slide didgeridoo create a tribal groove that resonates with everyone.
DaveJ uses effects pedals to sample & loop his musical ideas in real time…’this keeps me on my toes and keeps my music fresh, the basics of each song are there but I’m free to improvise and go where the moment takes me’.
