Didjeribone & Face Bass
DaveJ uses the Didjerbone & Face Bass, both invented by legendary Australian didjeridoo artist Charlie McMahon
Didjeribone – This is a slide didjeridoo that can be used to play rhythms, riffs and melodies in up to 10 keys. The name comes from a combination of Didjeri – from didjeridoo – and bone – from trombone. For more information see the Didjeribone website
Face Bass – An amazing piece of technology that sits inside the mouth and uses a seismic sensor to pick up the vibrations from the didjeridoo, face & vocal chords. Read what DaveJ has to say about his experience using the Face Bass on the official site rhythmorganizm
Looping, Effects & Electronic Percussion
DaveJ’s live setup includes -
RC-50 Loop Station – the ideal looping companion. Great for live performance, but also for jamming & writing new material
GT-10B Bass Effects Processor – ideally suited to the bass frequencies that the Didjeribone & Face Bass produce
HPD-15 Handsonic – access to an immense range of percussion and melodic sounds
